Procura can be deployed as a client-server solution utilizing MS SQL Server or as a cloud-based, SaaS solution and successfully supports organizations from start-ups with five users right through to multi-site and franchise organizations with hundreds of users.
Secure and stable, our database server system of choice, Microsoft SQL Server, is intended to be used for large data sets and to handle many users safely. It’s also relatively easy to use and maintain as the administrative tools and Wizards for SQL Server are considered to be industry leaders which simplifies the implementation and reduces the ongoing cost of ownership.

Procura has been designed with the concept of scalability in mind. As we do not know today what you will need tomorrow, we have provided engines such as our Pathways Engine, Work Flow Engine and Procura Custom Assessment and Survey Design Engine to allow you to adapt Procura to your new lines of business, without vendor intervention. Synchronization in the field provides mobile staff with necessary scheduling and client information while increasing their productivity and reducing costs.
Procura’s Mobile Health solutions utilize a local SQL express database; allowing information to be stored on laptops or comparable devices for “offline access”. The local database is then synchronized either locally via MDAC/ADO connection with the Procura server-side database, or via encrypted transmission through a web-server intermediary.
For Procura's cloud-based solution, each user’s client PC is protected using Microsoft Terminal Service’s Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client. Procura’s cloud-based solution is set to require the RDP to use 128-bit encrypted transactions to provide maximum protection for information being sent between the SaaS servers and your local workstation. 128-bit encryption is one of the strongest data protection devices available today, ensuring that you meet all patient privacy requirements.
For installed versions of Procura, we reside within your domain authentication policy. Procura supports ‘pass-through’ authentication if there is a desire for single sign-on. Your network passes the user’s credentials to Procura, which automatically selects that user profile.
After logging into the Procura application, access to specific data, screens and reports are set by your system administrator using internal role-based and/or user-based security policies. You decide who has full access, read-only or no access to the various components of the Procura system.
