Procura Mobile Announced as Finalist for 2012 VIATeC Technology Awards in Innovative Excellence
May 22, 2012 (Victoria, BC) – Procura Mobile has been named a finalist in the Innovative Excellence (Software) category at the 2012 Victoria Advanced Technology Council (VIATeC) Technology Awards. The company is among four finalists in the category, which recognizes a company that has researched and designed an innovative service, process or product that is expected to revolutionize a sector, method of business or way of life.
“We are honoured to be a finalist for the Innovative Excellence in Software category at the VIATeC 2012 Techies,” said Warren Brown, President of the Procura Group of Companies. “We know that Victoria has a burgeoning and vibrant technology community, and so it is safe to assume that the amount of quality entrants was high. To be simply mentioned in the same vein as our follow nominees is humbling.”
“Being a finalist is a testimonial to the strong team that Procura has,” continued Scott Herrmann, Director of Mobile Solutions. “There is a large amount of work that goes into developing an innovative product like Procura Mobile. In our industry, it is very rare to have a solution that can drastically improve the quality of patient care and maintain employee retention while at the same time, dramatically enhancing productivity, profitability and accountability.”

The Greater Victoria tech sector has grown to over 800 known technology companies, employing more than 13,000 people and generating in excess of $1.95 billion in annual revenues with an economic impact of $2.65 billion, making advanced technology Greater Victoria's #1 private industry.
